Need to rent a boat on the northern coast of Croatia? We highly recommend renting a boat from the island of Krk for it’s an ideal location to explore either Istria or begin your sailing route south into Dalmatia. As the largest and most populous island on the Adriatic Sea, Krk Island is an easily accessible and beautiful island to visit on its own.
Zizoo offers a wide range of options for you to choose from when you are considering which boat type you want for your boat holiday. To help you better decide which boat will best fit your needs, you first need to ask yourself what you want to get out of your boat holiday.
If you want to cruise the coast in style and with some added speed, you should consider renting a motorboat in Krk. You’ll quickly be about to island hop around the region. If you would like to take your sailing holiday a bit slower and go with the wind so to speak, you could charter a sailboat in Krk. Perhaps you are into a more luxurious and spacious sailing holiday, you could rent a catamaran in Krk and choose from a large variety of luxury catamarans waiting for you.
Once you decide to rent a boat in Krk, the next step is deciding what time of year you would like to visit Croatia. During the summer months, you can expect warm weather with temperatures between 24°C to 29°C. The temperature drops to its lower during January where you can expect to see temperatures go as low as 5-10°C. Obviously, you would want to enjoy warm temperatures and clear weather during your yacht charter in Croatia; however, the hot and busy summer months might not really be your best option.
We recommend visiting Croatia during the so-called “shoulder months.” In the late spring between April and May, the weather will be consistently warm and the crowded pleasantly smaller than the peak season. The same also goes for the early fall between September and October, when the waters are still warm from the summer heat and the crowds are much more manageable.
